I Love Microfiber...

...possibly more than I love certain of my children.

Yesterday, #5 (the boy) decided, while I was teaching piano, that it would be funny to chase his sister and her friend around the house--and tag them with peanut butter. When I went in the family room a half hour later, I was horrified to discover streaks and hand prints of peanut butter all over my new couches!!! Lucky for him, I was able to wipe it off with a wet wash cloth and the microfiber "repelled" the oil, so I didn't have to inflict bodily injury.

I have to admit, he was just as easy to clean too...and he is cuter than my sofas...so I guess I still love him. But if he ever takes scissors to those couches, watch out!

seriously, microfiber sofas are THE BOMB. I think I'll start wearing microfiber clothes soon.

He did what!?! It actually doesn't surprise me at all. Sunday he was playing outside, noticed that the back door was opened and threw a handful of mud on the carpet and ran off laughing. I sat there in disbelief and wondered what made that so fun for him. More time outs are definitely in order.

Remember when Jake and Jen had that dog poo fight? Peanut butter's not so bad.

Ha! I hope your "expectations" post came to mind. What a character that boy is.

It must be the lure of the new. Not long after we got our microfiber set Connor took a ball point pen to it. Rubbing alcohol took it right off, thankfully (for Connor).

New couches are almost as irresistible as a newly mopped floor to little ones. I'm glad they cleaned up ok. I will remember that when I am picking out my next piece of furniture (whenever that will be).
